Academic education classical drawing: portrait part three

Are you a beginning student and wish to improve your drawing skills? Or do you already have extensive experience with drawing and painting and wish to delve further into classical drawing techniques? Then you are welcome to join my program.
Like grandmasters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael and Michelangelo, we put model drawing at the center of our work. Indeed, the human body is one of the most complex subjects to master. It challenges us to study drawing concepts, such as the correct rendering of proportions and tonality, but also trains our perception. Lessons learned about this are universal and can later be applied to other areas, such as landscape or still life.

The direction “academic training in classical drawing” consists of two years: a first year (model drawing) and a second year (portrait drawing), each divided into three courses. Experience shows that students make the greatest progress when the course is completed in chronological order. However, if you wish to take only one section from the program, this is also possible (with the exception of the first two portrait courses).

We conclude our first year of the “professional course in classical portrait drawing” with six classes of portrait drawing by observation. This allows us to practice with the knowledge we have gained during the previous courses. You are free to choose your own technique so that you can practice exactly what needs more attention.

New students are also welcome to join this course and become familiar with the classical way of working.
