What occasions?
Whether it’s a company event, a bachelorette party, a family celebration, or any other occasion where you want to enjoy a fun, creative activity together—and take home a handmade pot as a souvenir—this custom pottery-making workshop is the perfect choice.
What do you learn?
· Introduction to the potter’s wheel
· Tasting the basict throwing techniques
· Kneading, centering (of about half a kilo), opening, pulling up
What should you bring yourself:
· 2 towels
· dishcloth
· old clothes, overalls, or apron (stains are washable)
· Lots of sociavility, humour and fun
· Tip: short nails (preferably no rings and bracelets)
What to do:
Be there 5 minutes before so you have time to get your things ready. You will be introduced to the wheel and get a feel for the clay. 20 minutes before end, we will collectively clean up and tidy up.
What is and isn’t included:
Basic materials such as the clay are included and tools are provided. Coffee and tea can be bought at the theatre café. You can also bring your own drinks.
After the class, I will bisque-fire one pot per person, glaze it, and glaze-fire it; it will be ready for pickup in 8 weeks.
