Basic course in oil painting

Painting with oil paint is a very old and versatile technique. You can paint very refined in multiple layers but also directly and expressively. In the course you will get explanation about the different types of oil paint, brushes and grounds (such as painting on linen or panel).We start with painting according to the refined oil painting technique and finish with the expressive technique. We work according to still life, landscape and portrait. You can also paint according to your own themes and subjects. Various artists from history who have painted with oils will be discussed during the lessons.

For whom: beginners and advanced students.

Materials: all materials are provided during the first lesson, then a simple purchase can be made.

Lessons: 6 lessons of 3 hours

Time: Saturday mornings from 9:30-12:30 a.m.

Cost: 160 euros, it is possible to pay in installments.
